Problem
Numerous open top trailers and trucks drive in a loaded condition and with an open rolling tarpaulin. One reason for this is the time consuming and exhausting, manual rolling and unrolling of the tarpaulin. Moreover the driver needs to climb onto the platform on the front wall at a height of three metres. If cereals, corn or gravel fall down on the street, this may result in situations such as black ice.
The demand for suitable covering systems for open vehicles arises from the applicable laws concerning road traffic / cargo securing.
Solution
Revoplan - the electric sideroll tarpaulin cover for tipper bodies
The solution developed by us as a complete system with universal installation dimensions requires only a few preparatory works at the vehicle.
Any required attachment sockets for the motor control, winding guide as well as the locking profiles are integrated at the tarpaulin portals. Using a plug-in system, the tarpaulin portals are attached to the vehicle. This enables an easy assembly as well as – if required – an easy disassembly of the roof arches.
The motor control is a combination of a pivoted lever and a telescopic arm which enables to operate the electric engine also by means of front-wall sided hydraulic cylinders.
In the case of the side roll tarpaulin cover, the tarpaulin is rolled over a winding shaft from one tipper body board wall to the board wall on the opposite side. Disturbing tarpaulin packets in the opened state are avoided in this way. This drive system concept requires few moving parts such as joints and the like. For this reason REVOPLAN is low-cost, safe to operate and requires little maintenance.
